I will be born in 2039

Welcome, Dear Readers- Please do not get surprised, with the title of this column. I am no God, neither Spiritual Guru, nor Religious teacher or saint. I am just like you, Human being.

I am not born but wait a moment-do not get to the conclusion. You might be wondering, if this person is not born who wrote this column? What is that he is trying to prove? Well, there is nothing that author wants to prove or claim. It is just a simple joke.

Today, looking at the Nations situation- I think I will be born in 2039. Now this is not the entire story, with doom of Economy (Global, National or Regional) there is no point in living a life of jeopardy. We have seen the country ruled by Kings (Razas and Maharazas), We also have seen so called “Democracy” and currently, “Federal Democratic System” and “…” in near future.

There is no change in creation of Jobs, Security, Electricity, Economy and Transportation to name few. I do not blame our beloved Prime Ministers neither I blame all the top-executive Politicians; I blame myself; because I know I will be born in 2039.

Yesterday, I heard the news where, a young man who was just seventeen years old kills reportedly fifteen and then himself at a school in Germany. A friend of his told police today, that he was bullied by class mates, teachers for many years. When he wanted to speak to them (Teachers, friends, parents) no one listened to him. Personally, I feel what my friend Paul from Austria feels- The young Gunman was innocent simply because, no body listed to his anguish. The tragedy could have been avoidable if there was the presence of love in his life.

Children of today are treated like valueless and useless beings. The world depends on them and the future of the entire world is dependent on how we treat them today. This is a sad story and this is just the beginning- I think. As we can see everybody is busy in their own personal life and nobody wants to LISTEN to anybody, simply because we all have point to make and grow within the society.

Then a quote popped into my tiny little brain which states, “Love is integral part in human life, without the sense of its presence no human wants to live life in despair.”

Let me get back to your questions, one very good friend of mine named Teemu, from Finland asked, “Santosh-when were you born in your country?” This is a good question, I thought- and before making my statement open, I visualized that- “We are in 2065, even ending it soon”. Then, I replied him back with the smile on my face stating-“I will be born in 2039.”

Poem: Vanity at stake

******************************
Vanity at stake
******************************
Amazing creature at stake
Full of suprise and mistakes
With confirmation and solidarity
We can all learn how to give

Life is pain so is love
O thee, Pleasure in pain
Witch of East or West
True beauty lies in rest

Learning exits till the last breath
We all are Master’s of our own fate
Like the wind and the tree
Just dance with the flowing breeze

O thee, beauty isn’t it
Jesus, Allah and Krishna

Thee, God or Master’s of fate
Bible, Quran and Gita for prayers
Listen to you or around those who say
All inside you and your mirror self

Life is worth giving without fake
God bless the peacemakers, and all of
Humanity ! O thee, Wow what a wonderful
Poem which speaks of vanity at stake

To Rest in Peace

Plot: Gloomy Sunday( The day after 14th of Feb, 2009) it is, when a man's love is preparing for her marriage and this young handsome man has decided to take away his life and to rest in peace.

************To Rest in Peace***************

My heart bleeds waiting for you
Maybe all my wishes and desires
Are tired of me, silent with me
I have decided my heart and me
To rest in peace,

Once, I had my life and you,
Nobody else, nothing except you.
Today, in fact, Gloomy Sunday it is.
You are preparing your marriage.
Me and my heart is preparing
To rest in peace,

Who cares, if I and my heart decide?
Maybe all your new wishes and desires
Will come true, with your new man
You have now given me, tears as my drink
And sorrow and sadness as my food
Me and my heart has decided
To rest in peace, Amen!

7 things to do, to be happy

With Unquenchable curiosity, I have come to this conclusion that- There are seven things a human can do to be happy. These seven things are listed below with explanation.

1. Sex
2. Smile (in worries)
3. Listen (Music, Others around)
4. Observe
5. Believe in Yourself (Also in Supreme Power, beauty of Nature)
6. Respect (Women or Male)
7. Be like a child.

1. Sex
Why Sex? Sex will give you pleasure, only thing that comes in my mind is sex-most of the times. Especially when I am alone. Medical experts will say that, sex exercise will burn calories to produce health benefits. I think they are correct to some point. The more you perform the sex, the better happy you will be of course by mutual agreement with your partner.

2. Smile
Why Smile? Smile is motivating cause for happiness which could be shown voluntarily or involuntary. We may have difference in culture, political system, life styles, country, religion and land but one thing remains same, “smile.” Smile especially in worries, when you are alone. When you think there are more worries coming your way. The root cause of all your worries will be gone once you start smiling at yourself. Look at your problems and worries and smile.

3. Listen
Everything is changing with time. Music besides any culture has common language. Music is "the harmony of the spheres”, it will bring happiness by inextricably intertwining into your life. As all our concepts and ideas are internal pictures, music is eternal harmony in our lives.
Others around signifies, those who want to speak listen to them first. Understand the philosophy of there thinking by listening to them. If I were a God, I would say- Some times, I can listen to all those who are not even near to me. (How?) Just by listening to their heart full of worries.

4. Observe
One man has done great deal of the work on Observation- Buddha. His quotes on Observation will explain everything on this issue.

“Do not believe in anything simply because you have heard it. Do not believe in anything simply because it is spoken and rumored by many. Do not believe in anything simply because it is found written in your religious books. Do not believe in anything merely on the authority of your teachers and elders. Do not believe in traditions because they have been handed down for many generations. But after observation and analysis, when you find that anything agrees with reason and is conducive to the good and benefit of one and all, then accept it and live up to it.”

5. Believe in Yourself

Always remember, It is not who you are that will hold you back, it is who you think you are not. Vincent Van Gogh has said that, “If you hear a voice within you say ‘you cannot paint’, then by all means paint and that voice will be silenced.” Therefore, the most important motivating factor to be alive is to believe in yourself and your abilities. Once I was ready to checkout of this life but I stopped just because I wanted to make most of myself and conquer myself.
Supreme Power and beauty of Nature should be believed because in the times when you are feeling low and down, when there is shadow of darkness quest for light- close your eyes and pray. All your prayers and wishes will be heard.

6. Respect
Respect could be defined as a manifestation of a human’s quality or behavior which does not come from influence but inner instincts. A single gesture, words and expression can result into great respect for those around you. If you are male, respect to fe-male and male. If you are fe-male respect to male and fe-male. Why? Because respect will give you pleasure and make you happy.

7. Be like a child
Einstein said, “All of my discovery and invention are because I stayed to be like a child.” It is true. The Unquenchable curiosity of the child can result into great inventions, can perform even the miracle. We always complain that, If God exits, why do not we see him/her. I would recommend, see the beauty and innocence of the child-you will see the God.

Prediction of President, 9 months ago !

No one would have thought nine months ago that the black guy will become the 44th President of the United States of the America, except me. I am neither futurist nor any economist on this issue. Was I guessing that President Obama will surely become the president? No, certainly not. I knew it. I do not know from when or where but somewhere deep down to my heart I knew that, the change is coming to the United States of America.

As the word "change" is concerned, it is the only thing which is going to be permanent in this recent century. It is because of the change, we are alive. It is for the change we want to live a life. It is due to the change we see pleasure of happiness, joy, sorrow, and many different tastes in our lives. The campaign and the election were just started and I did not know what's going on in United States of the American then, some 10-11 months ago. But suddenly, I heard it from a friend that, "Obama a black guy, has been elected for the president". I was then surprised to go through and Googled the key word-"Obama". I found loads of interesting videos which delivered equal message of equality, liberty and national unity. I was deeply moved and inspired by the speech that was delivered by President Obama.

Then later that night, I realized what is important? Is it the message of the change? Yes, it was! I could not stop my enthusiasm to that end; I quickly visited the web pages of the Obama presidential election and started to write some articles on these web pages. No body gave any comment on those articles till date. I wonder why? As, couple of days ago when President Obama was elected still no body has gone through my president prediction.

However, that is not important- The most important idea now is- How is United States of the America really going to stand up as the world leading nation? Is everything going to be restructured or re-envisioned through the eyes of new president or is it going to be the same? Only the time will tell, if Change is really being implemented through different perspectives.

The three words which is most important now is- "Yes, we can". How about in soon future, "Yes, we did"!

(Source:www.jordantimes.com)

Here is the article that I wrote then, on Feb 6th, 2008 at 3:08 pm EST

Yes, I am certain that this guy will be the next president of United States of America. The past speaks a lot about the future. Barack Obama Past was full of pain, hardwork and total devotion towards his country. It seems that he has been supported by mainly youth of America. If youth of the Number one country supports him that really means this guy has got some talent. He has- No doubt about it. I just saw one video on you tube from his official website and I am impressed the way he speaks and the way he expresses himself. He is the next president of United States. I know this is just a hope and hope is always good when it comes to achieving the happiness because both these two simple word starts with "h". People might say that this guys is being optimistic or something but I am certain and sure. If USA needs some change and wants to serve their country surely they will have to give votes to this guy. I myself have never given vote till date. Imagine if I were a citizen of this country I would have proudly gone there to give him my vote, because I know and I am certain that I will get some thing on return. He will not turn down my request or he will not ignore me just like that. What has Bush done to America? During his time, America was unnoticeable country to all other countries. To speak and to do is quite different. People should always learn from the Finnish Culture of believing in "doing" rather than wasting time and energy is wasting time "speaking". It depends though, It is always good to say that "I have done something then I will do this or that" My good luck to Barack Obama I don't know weather any citizen of America will give him a vote or not but If I were you- I would surelyhave.

Next President of United States is Obama who will most likely clear the rule of certainly Osama...Yes, it is funny statement but it is true. The day Obama become president from that day onwards the journey of Osama will end. I think they were enemy from their very past. Before their birth! You don't think so? They have very common name Osama and Obama just replace "b" with "s". Since b always comes early in alphabet surely Obama is going to be the winner.

My wishes to Barack Obama, Next President of United States of America!!!

Can’t Open Your E-Mailbox? Good Luck

I was fascinated by one of the article by Randall Stross Published in New York Times. The idea presented in an article shows the problem encountered by me, last month. Going office 9-5, spending weekend in cock-tail parties and checking e-mail daily is a routine of everyday life. It is a daily routine now a day to check E-mail. What would you do if you cannot open your email? You wake up in a morning, plugged in your computer and put your user name and password as you always do, but suddenly you received a message which says, “Your username and Password do not match?”.

If you are a Gmail user as me, what would you do after unsuccessful attempts? By definition, “Gmail is a new kind of webmail, built on the idea that email can be more intuitive, efficient, and useful. And maybe even fun. After all, Gmail has: Less spam, Mobile access and Lots of space” but no support services. There are no possibilities of talking with any customer support representative. Neither does Google offers any toll-free number nor discussion forums which would tell you about the next future steps. Microsoft and Yahoo offer some phone support to their paid e-mail customers.

According to Mr. Glotzbach who works with Google’s business customers says, it cannot deliver “one to one” support services to their customers. Google says it has “tens of millions” of Gmail customers without being too specific.

A message -“We apologize for any inconvenience you're experiencing by not being able to access Gmail. To resolve this issue as quickly as possible, please follow the troubleshooting steps” is displayed when you cannot access your account. Follow the steps and you will be asked to answer security question. One of the key to getting back your lost username and password is by answering to security question. But what if you do not remember the security question? Then, try it simply means that standard security questions will not be enough. As a normal Google user, once you lost your password and you do not remember your security question-then I’m sorry, but you cannot access your E-mailbox anymore. There is only one alternative, which is to open an entire new account. It is again frustrating and time consuming task, it is like saying, you lost your mobile phone now buy a new one. One company which provides phone service or customer service is Netflix. It has 375 customer service representatives which are enough to handle calls from 8.4 million customers, answering them within a minute.

As said by Richard Feynman, “What I cannot create, I do not understand.” Same hold true for me too. It is difficult to understand the technology without being involved in the creation of it. Hopefully, in near future there will be some system which will remove the orthodox- username and password system. Which I hate, hopefully you do too!

Studying in Finland, expectations and differences

“Expect the Unexpected in Life”. Life always brings you to unexpected places. I did not know some 1 year ago when I was teaching Students of Engineering Department in Kathmandu, Nepal that I would some day come to Finland. But now, I am here, writing this essay about my expectations and differences. For I come from Kalwar Family which for generations had engaged in business. I was the second Kalwar after my younger brother to come abroad for studies, from Nepal.

“All that glitters is not gold”. The first day when I landed my feet to this place, I didn’t knew how I will be greeted in Finland, I was surprised when I met a Old man near railway station in Helsinki, asked him some info in English, he did not replied anything. I was not surprised. Next thing that came in my mind was, “Am I walking in dead man’s land?” What are the reason people here in Finland do not talk with anybody? It has been a more than 3 months now in this Country and now I think they really believed in "Do". Is it because people here believe more in "doing" then "talking". Every body is so engaged in work that no body has time to talk with each other. I have to accept that, there is never a reliable map to unexplored territory.

My penchant was always towards Computer and it has never ceased to exist till date. Those impressions, still persistent in my conscience, landed me in Visveswaraiah Technological University, India for my Bachelors Degree in Computer Science and Engineering. My choice of Computer Science for my specialization didn’t come out of the blue. It was a garland of conscious decisions knitted together at various instances of time and I have been deeply satisfied with my academic result in my specialization. I gradually began to realize the insufficiency of my knowledge so as to increase the efficiency and quality of my work. Also, career became a secondary thing and knowledge and experience became my first priority. Accomplishing the apogee of my career has been a long time passion of mine. Saturating oneself with knowledge germane to one’s studies is the only way to prove the worth of one’s existence, not only to together but also to oneself. I am convinced that we people are destined to perform special task and it is up to us as to how efficiently we can perform them. I believe that I would complete my master degree from Lappeenranta University of Technology, Finland because hard work is the chariot to success and one should not undertake a task and if he does, one should perform it to the best of his caliber. I expect to make new friends and teach them not to follow the manual of good behaviors but to discover their own lives, desires, adventures and to live.

Many of us worry about the future, hold regrets about the past, and completely ignore the present. I always believe that we are in now, and the now is amazing. It will be surprising to many people that this human lives just one day of his life, I do not care about the past, and I am not worried about the future, I live in now or present. May be that is why I have no expectations and I hate the word differences. It is always best to accept life as it really is and not as I imagined it to be. I am learning from culture, people and climate of this country a lot; when the days are all the same, they pass more quickly but for me every day is new day here and everywhere else. Since I do not expect anything from my own life how can I expect something studying in Finland? I have no expectations and I could not find any difference. But I have to tell this truth that, studying here, feels good, professors, staffs and all the people are very friendly, helpful, gentle and kind. Taking all these as the pedestal of my decision, my passion for understanding the world, the rules that govern it and the way of using them for the benefit of entire human race, I have always guided my thinking and actions.

To sum up, in my country, extremely limited institution providing Master’s degree in my relevant subject lack latest technologies and the required exposure to enable a student gain global recognition. So I have to look for possibilities abroad. The renowned faculty members and the stat-of-art technology and infrastructure along with subject pertaining to one’s interest can entice anyone to gain Master’s degree at Lappeenranta University of Technology, Finland. I am no exception.
