I will be born in 2039

Welcome, Dear Readers- Please do not get surprised, with the title of this column. I am no God, neither Spiritual Guru, nor Religious teacher or saint. I am just like you, Human being.

I am not born but wait a moment-do not get to the conclusion. You might be wondering, if this person is not born who wrote this column? What is that he is trying to prove? Well, there is nothing that author wants to prove or claim. It is just a simple joke.

Today, looking at the Nations situation- I think I will be born in 2039. Now this is not the entire story, with doom of Economy (Global, National or Regional) there is no point in living a life of jeopardy. We have seen the country ruled by Kings (Razas and Maharazas), We also have seen so called “Democracy” and currently, “Federal Democratic System” and “…” in near future.

There is no change in creation of Jobs, Security, Electricity, Economy and Transportation to name few. I do not blame our beloved Prime Ministers neither I blame all the top-executive Politicians; I blame myself; because I know I will be born in 2039.

Yesterday, I heard the news where, a young man who was just seventeen years old kills reportedly fifteen and then himself at a school in Germany. A friend of his told police today, that he was bullied by class mates, teachers for many years. When he wanted to speak to them (Teachers, friends, parents) no one listened to him. Personally, I feel what my friend Paul from Austria feels- The young Gunman was innocent simply because, no body listed to his anguish. The tragedy could have been avoidable if there was the presence of love in his life.

Children of today are treated like valueless and useless beings. The world depends on them and the future of the entire world is dependent on how we treat them today. This is a sad story and this is just the beginning- I think. As we can see everybody is busy in their own personal life and nobody wants to LISTEN to anybody, simply because we all have point to make and grow within the society.

Then a quote popped into my tiny little brain which states, “Love is integral part in human life, without the sense of its presence no human wants to live life in despair.”

Let me get back to your questions, one very good friend of mine named Teemu, from Finland asked, “Santosh-when were you born in your country?” This is a good question, I thought- and before making my statement open, I visualized that- “We are in 2065, even ending it soon”. Then, I replied him back with the smile on my face stating-“I will be born in 2039.”

Gavin Rossdale - Love Remains The Same (MUSIC VIDEO)

--------------------
Lyrice
--------------------

A thousand times I've seen you standing
Gravity like lunar landing
You make me want to run till' I find you
I shut the world away from here
I drift to you, you're all I hear
As everything we know fades to black

Half the time the world is ending
Truth is I am done pretending

I never thought that I
Had anymore to give
You're pushing me so far
Here I am without you
Drink to all that we have lost
Mistakes we have made
Everything will change
But love remains the same

I find a place where we escape
Take you with me for the space
The city buzz sounds just like a fridge
I walk the streets through seven bars
I have to find just where you are
The faces seem to blur
They're all the same

Half the time the world is ending
Truth is I am done pretending

I never thought that I
Had anymore to give
You're pushing me so far
Here I am without you
Drink to all that we have lost
Mistakes we have made
Everything will change
But love remains the same

So much more to say
So much to be done
Don't you trick me out
We shall overcome
It's all left still to play

We should've had the sun
Could have been inside
Instead we're over here

Half the time the world is ending
Truth is I am done pretending
Too much time too long defending
You and I are done pretending

I never thought that I
Had anymore to give
You're pushing me so far
Here I am without you
Drink to all that we have lost
Mistakes we have made
Everything will change
Everything will change

I, oh I,
I wish this could last forever
I, oh I,
As if we could last forever

Love remains the same
Love remains the same

5 simple steps to improve quality education system in Nepal

Needs for improvement never cease, looking at the current education system in our country there is much more room for improvements. Even though the steps that I am going to write at this column are just mere words but it would be helpful if one would implement it in near future. The five steps to improve education system in Nepal.

1. Provide monthly stipend to the entire student in the country.

All the humans who are registered either in public or private colleges should be given monthly stipend by the government or the university or any governing bodies. This might look a Hercules task at first but it surely is right way to improve the ongoing crisis in the education sector. There are very few students who are going to stay back and look for higher education in the country; everybody wants to visit foreign land for quality education, where the story for living and getting education in foreign country is not so easy. Therefore, when a student is provided a monthly stipend then he/she will get security for paying bills each month.

2. Health benefits from all the University to entire students

One of another vital factor in improving education could be health benefits for free. Being a student is one thing but being a healthy student is another. One has to go through different deadlines, schedules, projects and many such tasks. Therefore, the governing bodies should provide free health benefits to the entire student when they get enrolled by the colleges, university or schools for free.

3. Nepali ID System and 50% discounts for students on travelling by bus, flights, train or any such medium.

Nepalese ID system should be given by government to all those who are citizens of Nepal and also to the aliens studying in Nepal. The Nepalese ID system might contain DOB (Date of birth), Profession and Personal Information stored in central database of the state. This means, storage of information of entire population in Country in the Government Computer. One could develop Social Security System for everyone living and coming inside the country. It will help to track, validate and access information about the person at any given time. This could be huge project by the Government in Future. Currently the students get around 33% of the discounts from the travelling, it should be increased to 50%, this is to improve travelling budget by the student and it will ensure that student pays less expenses on travelling. At the same time, those who are not students they should be charged full amount of money.

4. Development of Government University (All private affiliated colleges should be half-owned by Government)

Most of the universities in Nepal are limited with resources and more students are found in private affiliated colleges to the university. These private affiliated colleges should be half-owned by the Government and less in number. It would be nice approach to reduce such affiliations and increase Universities. This might be very difficult task but it is certainly possible with mutual understanding from Private and Government top class officials. It would be good approach for the development if the country has 10 or 15 universities and no or very few affiliated colleges because it gives more learning ability, visibility, accountability and transparency among others.

5. Strict Use of Tax cuts to all the University, School and Colleges (Private or Public) and No tuition fee for the students.

It is nice approach to use the tax cuts for the schools, colleges and university either public or private. This is positive initiative taken by the Government. In addition, there should also be no tuition fee taken to domestic students inside the country. Those in Private Sector would look with eyes staring but they should reduce the amount of tuition fee from the family to give education. Although, these five steps sounds good these are not going to be implemented in practice. Simply because we do not want our children to give benefits and quality education, we just want to earn money from their family into ours. These statements might sound very strong but the fact is when would we listen to our heart and start thinking on how to improve education for our children’s? If we are waiting for right government and right model then we will wait and just wait. Nothing will change but if we are going to put the vision into reality by DOING SOMETHING NOW then we surely are going to make difference in our country’s education Systems.

Please share and comment on this article if you want to give insights and your own ideas. What do you think, Readers ?

Understanding Cyborgs

"Understanding Cyborgs", Cyborgs could be termed as combination of human intelligence and mechanical device. Cyborg theory was first created by Donna Haraways where she defines it as,

"The cyborg does not dream of community on the model of the organic family, this time without the oedipal project. The cyborg would not recognize the Garden of Eden; it is not made of mud and cannot dream of returning to dust." The theory of Cyborg asserts that technology as the artifacts of Cultural Revolution, very less comprise of material extension of material human body. [1]

There are no specific boundaries or separation from human or animals or machine.
It would be interesting to do research on this topic because, recently renowned oxford university neuroscientist Susan Greenfield believes that repeated exposure to Social networking web pages like Twiter, Facebook and computer games are vital factor which effect the human brain of young Childs. [2]

In similar study by Dr. Gary Small comments stating, “We know that technology is changing our lives, it’s also changing our brains.” Professor Greenfield states that, “technologies are infantilizing the brain into the state of small children who are attracted by buzzing noises and bright lights, which have a small attention span and live for the moment. It is hard to see how living this way on a daily basis will not result in brains, or rather minds, different from those of previous generations.”[3]

Therefore, I believe that it would be really fascinating to do research on human brain and technology at the same time. It would be interesting to see how people behave in a small group of community with the Internet technology.

Research should always be for wider audience and for the purpose of mankind. It would surely be benefited by children’s, young people and especially technology savvy. There is no doubt that children’s do develop differently because they develop through media, in the media environment in which they operate, but maybe research would try to focus more on positive aspect of discovering new ways in which we can use our brains?

Most important factors would be Parental accountability and awareness development through such kind of research. Although it looks more of theoretical work, additionally, there could be Qualitative research methods which could be used during such research work. Once the secret of understanding cyborg would be revealed, it would benefit the children’s and the future generations.

Definitely it would not be the only correct answer but it would surely give useful insights on current problems with the usage of technology in many different Internet applications.

Poem: Vanity at stake

******************************
Vanity at stake
******************************
Amazing creature at stake
Full of suprise and mistakes
With confirmation and solidarity
We can all learn how to give

Life is pain so is love
O thee, Pleasure in pain
Witch of East or West
True beauty lies in rest

Learning exits till the last breath
We all are Master’s of our own fate
Like the wind and the tree
Just dance with the flowing breeze

O thee, beauty isn’t it
Jesus, Allah and Krishna

Thee, God or Master’s of fate
Bible, Quran and Gita for prayers
Listen to you or around those who say
All inside you and your mirror self

Life is worth giving without fake
God bless the peacemakers, and all of
Humanity ! O thee, Wow what a wonderful
Poem which speaks of vanity at stake

To Rest in Peace

Plot: Gloomy Sunday( The day after 14th of Feb, 2009) it is, when a man's love is preparing for her marriage and this young handsome man has decided to take away his life and to rest in peace.

************To Rest in Peace***************

My heart bleeds waiting for you
Maybe all my wishes and desires
Are tired of me, silent with me
I have decided my heart and me
To rest in peace,

Once, I had my life and you,
Nobody else, nothing except you.
Today, in fact, Gloomy Sunday it is.
You are preparing your marriage.
Me and my heart is preparing
To rest in peace,

Who cares, if I and my heart decide?
Maybe all your new wishes and desires
Will come true, with your new man
You have now given me, tears as my drink
And sorrow and sadness as my food
Me and my heart has decided
To rest in peace, Amen!
